Okay, obviously not never, but I’ve recently discovered the joys of making your own salad dressing. It’s fresher, you know exactly what the ingredients are, and this honey dijon one I’ve been making has been turning straight up arugula and romaine into really good side salads for dinner.
Ingredients
1/3 cup olive oil
3 tbsp apple cider
1 tbsp dijon mustard
2 tsp honey
salt
pepper
Instructions
Pour 1/3 cup of good olive oil into a small mixing bowl. I’m using Spanish organic extra virgin olive oil.
Mix in apple cider, dijon mustard, and honey.
Season with freshly ground sea salt and black pepper.
Whisk until the dressing has a creamy texture.
I store my dressing in a small mason jar. The dressing keeps up to 1 week in the fridge.
After making my own dressing, salads have become a dinner staple and an easy way to make sure we eat our greens.
